Plant Biotechnology (PLBR 653.2)
Description
5 Presentations. This course presents an overview of the advances made by utilizing the techniques of plant molecular biology and tissue culture in developing useful plant products. We stress those technologies that result in commercial products. We also consider the ramifications of this technology with respect to safety, public acceptance, intellectual property rights, and international aspects of acceptance (or rejection) and dissemination of the technology.
