Nutritional Quality Improvement of Food Crops (PLBR 4070)
Description
11 Presentations. Introduction to biofortification of crop plants for enhancing their nutritional quality and health-promoting properties. The course discusses strategies to improve the contents of micronutrients, vitamins, phytochemicals, as well as the qualities of proteins and lipids via conventional breeding and transgenic approaches.
